BowWoWzer® Active
Wear started in 2007 as a part time passion. Maria (my loving saint
of a wife) and I are married with two dysfunctional "children"; Cosmo and Phantom. Cosmo is a Shepard-Chow
mix too smart for his own good. Phantom is the first Cocker Spaniel (to our knowledge) to be diagnosed as clinically
"spastic". We are dog lovers and believe that dogs are the embodiment of the phrase "Unconditional
love comes in all sizes". We wanted to create an avenue to assist canine and other animal rights organizations
in their fund raising efforts, and decided to do this through the sale of t-shirts.
Our goals in creating our company were two-fold; FIRST,
create t-shirts that can generate additional funding for animal rights and protection organizations. We
made our primary charity The Humane Society. However, we will create programs to work with all organizations
that focus on animal protection. Our SECOND objective was to offer t-shirts for Humans with humorous messages
to which Dog Lovers can relate. Most of the dog focused apparel that we found were for the dogs themselves (cute,
but I can't fit into one of those sweaters without a serious diet). The result was our Dog
Lovers Tees. Eventually, we
realized that to make this as successful as possible, I would have to focus full-time on this venture. Consequently,
beginning in June 2008 I quit my day job (hence Maria's ascension to sainthood) to become a t-shirt sales guy. We
also realized that to really have an impact we needed to create a character that embodies the fun that we hoped
would be associated with BowWoWzer®Active Wear. We wanted a mascot that
combined the mischievousness of Cosmo with the happy personality of Phantom. The
Result... Sly! Once Sly was born, we discovered that there were other opportunities to expand our line
to include sports wear, resort wear and activity wear- all with the goals of spreading humor and supporting
animal rights and protection organizations.

with his cool shades and sly grin- who better to represent us in all aspects of life? We hope you
